As a primarily sub-urban and rural community, Newaygo County residents
are founded in the timeless values of friendship and family. Low crime
rates equate to safe neighborhoods and high community involvement. The
five cities of Newaygo County include; Fremont, Grant, Hesperia, Newaygo
and White Cloud. The major industries are agriculture, retail and manufacturing
making for a majority of blue-collar jobs. Recreational highlights include
several golf courses, lakes, snowmobile trails and plenty of winding roads
